Indian Journal of Extra-Corporeal Technology Membership Registration

Membership is open to all people interested in perfusion in the categories below. Only life members are entitled to vote at meetings. Interested persons should write to the secretary for an application form or click here to download an application form. An entrance fee is payable upon acceptance and a subscription fee is payable annually.

F) The Objects of the Society :  
 
To Promote the advancement of extra-corporeal technology in India.
To arrange regional and national meetings for scientific discussions.
To encourage scientific research and experimental work in the cardiopulmonary bypass procedures and in the associated problems.
To associate together in one corporate body all qualified workers practising or interested actively in the science and art of extra-corporeal circulation technology.
To co-ordinate the efforts and seek guidance from association of thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon of India in promoting the professional skills for perfusionists
To establish contact with various institutions with active open cardiac work and to arrange the study of extra-corporeal technology, literature reviews, papers, and to make them available to the members.
Conducting annual meetings to discuss scientific matters pertaining to extra- corporeal technology and related problems and to meet with the association of thoracic & cardiovascular surgeon of India to exchange views on scientific matters.
To bring out an India Journal of extra-corporeal technology at the appropriate time and try to establish the contact with similar international societies.
To provide travelling fellowships to enable members to gain further knowledge in extra-corporeal technology. To award prizes to deserving perfusionists who have contributed to the advancement of extra- corporeal technology in India.
 
 
G) The name of the Person or Persons, Officers, If any authorised to sue or be sued on behalf of the society. The President shall be the person who will sue and be sued for and on behalf of the society.
 
 
H) The name of the Person or officer, who is empowered to give directions in regard to the business of the society
  The President shall be responsible to give directions for the activities of the society.
 
 
I)
(a) Qualification for membership
 
Membership will be opened to those who are actively associated with extra-corporeal technology all over India and abroad.
An application for membership shall be scrutinised by the executive committee and shall be admitted to the membership on approval of the same. The executive committee may reject any application without giving any reasons.
(b) Entrance Fee & Subscription
 
Associated Life Members (ALM) : Any person whom the Committee considers desirable to be associated with the society. (Perfusionist, Surgeons, Anesthetist) Associate life membership fee Rs.2000/- (one time payment)
Life Members (LM) : Any individual contributing Rs. 2000/- (one time payment) towards life membership subscription payable in lump sum. B.sc. Degree biology, physics & Chemistry Diploma in perfusion technology. Life membership fee Rs. 2000/- (one time payment).
(C) Action on defaulters
  No circulars of the society ( other than notice of the meetings of the society) will be sent to the members who have not paid annual subscription consecutively for one year.
 
 
J) Termination of Membership
 
(a) On submission of the resignation in writing by any member which shall be put before the executive committee.
(b) On default of payment of subscription for 2 years.
(C) The general body of the society may adopt such rules as may be necessary from time to time by a special resolution for termination of membership and empower the committee to implement the same.
 
 
K) Rights & Obligations of Members
 
(a) Members excluding honorary members have right to vote in general body meetings.
(b) Members excluding honorary members are eligible to contest in the executive committee.
(C) Members shall observe all the rules laid down by the Society from time to time.
